Danni & Ryan's Wedding Day!

Cinco De Mayo & Danni & Ryan’s Wedding Day! Living in Southern California, that will be an easy anniversary to remember!
If I were to sum up Danni & Ryan’s wedding day into three words, (which for me is not easy) they would be, breathtaking, elegant, and warm.
We started out Danni & Ryan’s condo with some fashion type shots of Danni by the trolley, and the magnificent fountain.

And as usual for a wedding day, the hands on the clock sprouted wings and the time flew by! Before we knew it, it was time to get Danni loaded into the limo and on her way to the church. I was shocked and a bit sad we had to leave…. I felt like I could have spent at least another 2 hours working with her in that area. Danni’s dress was stunning, and the beautiful lines of the dress in contrast with the fountain and grass was photographers dream come true!

The ceremony was at Saint Mary’s Star of The Sea in La Jolla, a beautiful church with a wedding coordinator that was a joy to work with and kept everything running perfectly on schedule.

An hour later the newlyweds left the church under an arch of swords glistening in the late afternoon sun
.

After the family groups I hopped into the HUGE Hummer Limo with Danni & Ryan and off to the beach for some alone time with the bride & groom.

Skip made sure we had all of our gear and followed behind us ....and with amazing speed cought up with us AND found a parking space just as we arrived.

While we worked with Danni & Ryan at the cove, April our assistant, took off for the reception to get details of the flowers & cake and guests.

Down at La Jolla cove we were a bit disappointed to see the tide so far in, there was not much beach to work with at all. We had the good luck to run into a lifeguard there who suggested we go further down to a secluded roped off area which had more beach space. So we all trooped down there hopping over the chain at the head of the stairs. The spot was beautiful and well worth the hike!
We got some great shots and had a great time!

The reception was at Marina Village in the Bahia Room, which I think is the most beautiful room of all at this venue. Very private. The room was decorated in chiffon and white light ropes with the most beautiful centerpieces, so tall and graceful.

The cake was beautiful as well.. and I have to mention, was made by Danni the night before the wedding!

It was a beautiful day, and again our only regret is that the time went soooo fast!
Danni & Ryan are such a wonderful couple and we were a bit sad to leave them at the end of the day, but felt so great having been a part of such an amazing day!
Congratulations you two!
