Sunday June 17th- The Hotel Del and Coronado Community Center

Wow, wow, wow! I have to start there. Anuja and Andrew's wedding was the biggest WOW ever for us! We met Anuja and Andrew, and Anuja's parents, just a few months ago. They were referred to us by one of our past clients, Samy and Cyle. After our meeting with them Skip and I were both so excited about their wedding plans, we had our fingers crossed for days that we would be the photographers they chose for their wedding. Their ceremony was a combination of Christian and Hindu with many Hindu traditions being done. This was a first for us, we had never done an wedding like this, and we appreciate the trust and confidence they put in us to do this job. During the few months before the wedding Anuja spent some time with us giving us a lot of information about the traditions and we spent a good deal of time researching this type of wedding on the Internet.
This was our second wedding this weekend and we were on fire..... sooooo excited about all of the different elements that we would be shooting this day!
Erin and I started with the girls and Anuja's family at the Hotel Del and Skip was at the ceremony site, the Coronado Community Center with Andrew and his side.
As soon as Anuja was ready to go, we invaded the hotel lobby and began or shots of Anuja and her girls. I love the way this old elevator looks for pictures, just don't ever ask me to ride in it ;-)

Before we headed to the ceremony site, the pastors wife led the girls in a special wedding day prayer for Anuja's marriage.
Anuja's parents were full of surprises that day. Instead of the Limo she was expecting to get her to the ceremony, there was a beautiful white horse and carriage waiting at the hotel lobby to carry her away. She was really surprised!

Along the way, the horse got a bit delayed and poor Andrew looked like he is wondering if his Princess will ever arrive!
The ceremony was amazing, I could write about this forever. The mixture of Andrew's traditions and Anuja's was beautifully done.
After the ceremony and group formals our Newlyweds rode off in their horse and carriage with us following to the beach. Here we got to spend some great time together doing their Champagne Photo session!
The reception held many great surprises as well! At one point one of our lovely bridesmaids performed a special dance for Anuja and Andrew.
And the night ended, again way to soon for us, with the bouquet toss!
We want to take just a minute here to say a special thanks to Andrew and Anuja and Anuja's parents for selecting us to be a part of this day. It was an amazing opportunity for us, and we are very thankful to have come to know you and be accepted so warmly by your family. I am still on such a high from this one that I am having a very hard time sitting in my office now doing the editing!

WOW is right! Hello Skip and Heather! Jane LaFazio here. [My husband, Don, and I know Anuja, because she is the speech therapist that leads a Tuesday afternoon communication group at Palomar. Don has participated in that group for more than 12 years.] Anyway, GREAT GREAT photos!!!!!! We looked at the slide show too. GORGEOUS. You both did a wonderful wonderful job capturing what looks to be the most beautiful day for a most beautiful bride and groom. Truly fabulous photos!
